Can I pick up my sign to save on shipping costs?

Yes, you can pick up the sign at our home studio in Saint-Lazare, QC, Canada. Or at our second pick up location in Pointe-Claire, QC, Canada.

Once you receive our notification that your order is complete, you can message us to figure out a day that you would like to pick up (please note; we require 24 hours notice for pickup), we will then leave on the front porch for a contactless pickup! Your order(s) will be at the location you chose at checkout. 

Once orders have been completed, you have 30 days to pickup your order(s). If you DO NOT pick up your order, we will be donating it to charity.

We require 24 hours notice for pickup. We do not have room to store for long periods of time, and can not keep your orders for longer then 30 days.


If you choose to have your order mailed, your order will ship Priority Mail through Canada Post. Please allow 2-10 business days after your order has been shipped for it to arrive. We will provide tracking information for your order. We always ship expedited.

What kind of wood do you use?

We use a variety of woods, all high quality. No sign will ever look alike, which makes it unique and beautiful.

All products we use are non-toxic but the puzzles are not meant to be mourned and chewed as they will chip and damage.

Missing Packages:

Farmhouse Decor ships via Canada Post. In the rare case your package is noted as delivered with Canada Post (or other courier utilized), but you did not receive it, please contact Canada Post (or other courier) directly. If you still have issues, please let us know and we will do our best to help figure out the situation, on your behalf. 

Unfortunately, if your package is lost, stolen, or misplaced, we are unable to offer you a refund.

Damaged Packages:

Farmhouse Decor takes great care in ensuring your order arrives to you safely; we package all our items wrapped carefully in cardboard! All our packages are insured for shipping. We do our absolute best in packaging, and are not able to control how Canada Post may handle your package. Unfortunately Canada Post will not insure items for damage.

Please keep in mind, there is always a risk of damage when choosing to have items shipped. 
We are a small business that caters mostly to the greater Montreal and surrounding areas, with the exception of certain small items.

Unfortunately, if your package is damaged from transit, we are unable to offer you a refund.

What If I need my order ASAP?

Production time is approximately 8 weeks, affected by pre-existing orders and season.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

No returns, refunds or exchanges will be accepted on custom work. Once order is confirmed, we are unable to cancel the order. If there is a concern with the order or defect we will work with you to correct it in a timely manner. 

What if I am unhappy with my order?

We want to ensure each and every customer loves their piece. If for some reason you are not completely satisfied please contact us and we will determine a resolution on a case by case situation.

Please keep in mind that every computer monitor displays colour a bit differently. Therefore, the colours you see on your screen could be slightly different than the colours you see in person. It's best that you choose a stain based on the sample image, rather than of a sign you've seen in pictures, as grains will pick up the colour differently, and pictures taken outside, tend to look brighter.

All pieces of wood are different and can take stain differently, no two pieces of wood will ever have the same tint of stain, or grain.

Also note that all signs are made to order, hand crafted and hand painted. Although I try to duplicate the original as closely as possible, there might be slight variations in size or wood characteristics.

Please know that we use REAL wood. Some pieces might have dents or scratches or knots. No piece of wood will ever be the same. We can't control the character in your piece of wood. If this is something you think might bother you, a real wooden sign might not be a good fit for your need.

When ordering a white sign, please be aware that over time, knots in wood can release something called tanins, which can cause white paint to turn yellow.

No refunds or exchanges, everything is made to order and customized. 

Name cutouts and signs vary in size, there will never be two identical pieces.

Do all items arrive ready-to-hang?

Yes, all our signs come ready to hang.
